Meet Marcel Smet
For most of my life I've been a creative with a Plan B.
Like so many musicians, artists and makers, I worked to pay the bills while trying to protect the time and energy for what I really loved. Over the years I realised how often that Plan B slowly becomes Plan A, while the dream quietly moves into the background.
That realisation became the starting point of SmetMan.Amsterdam.
I don't have all the answers, and I can't promise to change the creative world on my own. But standing still won't change it either. My goal is to build a community that encourages, supports and creates new opportunities for talented people, so that one day more artists can live from their passion instead of around it.
