SmetMan.Amsterdam is a storytelling project built around one simple belief: talented people deserve to be seen.
We walk the streets of Amsterdam meeting musicians, painters, writers, comedians, tattoo artists and other creators with remarkable stories. Through honest films and genuine conversations, we introduce them to the world.
Our long-term mission goes beyond telling stories. We're building a community that helps selected artists create without having to choose between their passion and paying the bills.
SmetMan Sessions
This autumn, SmetMan.Amsterdam opens the doors to a monthly Friday night jam session in Amsterdam Noord.
A place where musicians, songwriters and music lovers come together. No competition. No pressure. Just real people, real music and real connections.
What makes these sessions unique is the setting. They take place once a month on a Friday evening inside PAND VANMOKUM, in the middle of the artworks of UNKnowN Gallery. Here, music and visual art come together in the same space, creating an atmosphere where artists and audiences naturally connect.
Whether you come to perform, listen, collaborate or simply enjoy the atmosphere, you're welcome. Bring your instrument. Bring a friend. Or just bring your curiosity.
Every session is an opportunity to discover new music, meet new people and enjoy the unexpected moments that live music can bring. Maybe you'll find your next favourite musician. Maybe your next bandmate. Maybe you'll be the one on stage.
