SmetMan.Amsterdam is a storytelling project built around one simple belief: talented people deserve to be seen.
We walk the streets of Amsterdam meeting musicians, painters, writers, comedians, tattoo artists and other creators with remarkable stories. Through honest films and genuine conversations, we introduce them to the world.
Our long-term mission goes beyond telling stories. We're building a community that helps selected artists create without having to choose between their passion and paying the bills.

No one knows exactly what will happen.
And that’s the point.
Only twice a year, SmetMan.Amsterdam brings these worlds together for the SmetMan Sessions at PAND VANMOKUM.
Right in the middle of the art of UNKnowN and the design of VANMOKUM, musicians, artists, poets and unexpected creative minds come together for an evening built around one thing:
Improvisation.
No competition.
No pressure.
No need to know exactly where the night will take us.
From death metal to classical music. From beat poetry to soundscapes. Different backgrounds, cultures and creative worlds are welcome to collide.
And holding it all together — or adding a little more chaos — is a stand-up comedian, bringing a warm welcome, sharp jokes and their own unexpected energy to every Session.
